Wash Hands
Wash your hands in hot water for about a minute.
This will increase blood circulation in your fingers. Dry your hands.
Note: Doing a blood test without stimulating blood circulation might prove difficult, so please do not skip this step.
Open Lancet
Disinfect Finger
Disinfect your “test finger” with the supplied disinfectant paper.
Wait a few seconds until the finger is completely dry.
Prick Finger
Place your hand on a flat surface.
Put the lancet diagonally toward the test finger and press down the button.
Make sure the lancet is pressed against the finger the whole time.
Help Blood Flow
We recommend that you stand up at this stage to let the blood in your arm flow downward.
Help the blood drops come out by massaging the finger toward the needle stick.
Grab The Dropper
Without squeezing the capillary dropper bulb, put it in contact with the blood.
The blood migrates into the provided capillary dropper.
Apply Blood To Cassette
Hold the dropper vertically and transfer 1 drop of blood in each ”S” well of test casette, by squeezing the the bulp.
Wait for 1 minute.
Add Buffer
Add 7 drops of buffer into the Buffer well of the test cassette.
Note: If a small amount of red blood cells is visible in the ”S” well at reading time, add 1-2 more drops of buffer to ”Buffer” well and read the result immediately.
Wait
Read result after 1 minute.
Do not interpret the result after 30 minutes.
Note: If a small amount of red blood cells is observed in the “S” well at reading time, please add 1-2 drops of washing buffer to “Buffer” well and read the results immediately.
Blood Group O
Negative for antigen A and antigen B.
Both test fields remain white.
Blood Group A
Positive for antigen A and negative for antigen B.
Field A turns red, while field B remains white.
Blood Group B
Negative for antigen A and positive for antigen B.
Field A remains white, while field B turns red.
Blood Group AB
Positive for antigen A and antigen B.
Both test fields turn red.
