Regiter Test-ID
Before you start, you need to register your test. Your test kit contains a sticker with your unique test-ID. If you need help creating an account, you can check our guide.

Prep Your Space
Open the silver pouch and take out the test cassette.

Wash Your Hands
Wash your hands in hot water for about a minute. This will increase blood circulation in your fingers. Dry your hands. Shake your hands to get the blood flowing.
Note: Doing a blood test without stimulating blood circulation might prove difficult, so please do not skip this step!

Disinfect Your Finger
Disinfect your “test finger” with the supplied disinfectant paper. Wait a few seconds until the finger is completely dry.

Remove The Protective Cover On The Lancet
Take the lancet, turn the protective cap once around its own axis and
pull it off.

Prick Your Finger
Place the lancet on the side of your fingertip and press it against your finger so that the tip of the lancet shoots into your finger.

Encourage Blood Flow
We recommend that you stand up at this stage to let the blood in your arm flow downward.
Hold your hand horizontally and massage your finger from the bottom to the puncture site until a blood drop is formed. Remove the first blood drop with a clean wipe.

Collect Sample
Take one of the Mitra Devices and guide one of the Mitra Sticks to the drop of blood and wait until the white tip is completely saturated with blood. Repeat this with the second Mitra Device.
Note: If the bleeding stops, you can use the second lancet to prick another fingertip. Please also remove the first blood drop and do not squeeze the blood out of the finger.

Apply Band-Aid
Finally, clean the puncture site with the second disinfectant wipe and cover it with the band-aid.

Let Sample Dry
Leave the two Mitra devices to dry at room temperature in a dark place (e.g. a dark room) for 8 to (maximum) 24 hours.

Attach Test-ID And Seal
Once the samples have dried after 8–24 hours, seal the Mitra devices.
Attach your unique QR code on outside of the Mitra device.

Pack The Devices Back Into The Plastic Bags
Seal the bags carefully.

Send The Test To The Lab
Put the plastic cover in the envelope and send it.
Note: Send your sample at the beginning of the week (preferably Monday or Tuesday) to avoid delays. Keep the sample refrigerated until sending.

Wait 10-15 Business Days For Results
Results are usually available 10–15 business days after we receive your sample.
As soon as your results are ready, we'll notify you by email and text message. Your results will then be available to view in your my.gettested.io account.
