Wash Hands

Wash your hands in hot water for about a minute.
This will increase blood circulation in your fingers.
Dry your hands.

Note: Doing a blood test without stimulating blood circulation might prove difficult, so please do not skip this step.

Remove Cap From Lancet

Carefully rotate the protective cap of the sterile lancet 360° without pulling it, then extract and discard the cap

Disinfect Finger

Disinfect your “test finger” with the supplied disinfectant paper. Wait a few seconds until the finger is completely dry.

Prick FInger

Put the lancet diagonally toward the test finger (the side of the ring finger is recommended) and press down the button. Make sure the lancet is pressed against the finger the whole time.

Stimulate Blood Flow

Carefully massage the finger. It is important that the massage is done from the palm of the hand to the phalanx, to improve blood flow.

Pipette Blood

Take the pipette without pressing the bulb. The blood will enter the pipette by capillarity. Move the pipette away when the black line is reached. If there is not enough blood, continue to massage the finger until the black line is reached.

Pipette Blood Into Vial

Open the provided vial. Deposit the blood collected with the pipette into the vial. Press the pipette bulb 2 or 3 times to ensure that all the blood has moved into the diluent solution.

Put Cap Back On Vial

Replace the screw cap onto the vial and mix well for at least 10 seconds. Unscrew the blue cap from the dropper vial (leave the white cap tightly screwed on)

Apply To Cassette

Deposit 3 drops into the well shown on the cassette (S).

Wait 10 minutes and then read the results as indicated.

Positive Results

Both the C band and the T band are visible, regardless of whether the T band is strong or faint.

This result shows the presence of anti-DGP antibodies in the blood and therefore probable celiac disease. Contact your GP to continue with diagnostic procedures.

Negative Result

Only a clear C band is visible.

This result means there are no anti-DGP antibodies in the blood or that their concentration is below the test’s detection limit.

Invalid Result

No colored C band appears, regardless of whether the T band is visible.

In this case it is not possible to interpret the result of the test, which must be considered not valid. A retest is recommended.
