    Preparation

    Make sure that the test is at room temperature. If the test was stored in the fridge, let the cassette reach room temperature (15–25°C / 59–77°F) before testing. This ensures accurate results.

    Sample Collection

    Collect the horse’s ocular (eye) or nasal (nose) secretions using the provided swab. Make sure the swab is well moistened with the sample.

    Insert the wet swab into the assay buffer tube and stir or agitate at least 5 times to ensure proper mixing.

    Remove the swab while pressing it against the side of the tube to extract as much liquid as possible.

    Use the provided dropper to add 3 drops of the extracted liquid into the sample hole on the test cassette.

    Interpret the result in 5–10 minutes.

    Do not read the results after 10 minutes, as they are considered invalid.

    Both the C band and the T band are visible, regardless of whether the T band is strong or faint.

    Only a clear C band is visible.

    No colored C band appears, regardless of whether the T band is visible.

    A retest is recommended.
