    Grab The Swab

    Open the package containing the sterile swab. Remove the test cassette from the foil pouch and use it within one hour.

    Collect Sample

    Swab throughly 2 inches into the vagina. Rotate the swab for even coverage.

    Rub the head of the swab onto pH area of the test panel at least 5 times.

    Read Results

    Read the result immediately while the test area is still wet.

    Compare the color in the pH test zone with the color scale on the foil pouch.

    Low pH (<3.8)

    A vaginal pH below 3.8 is lower than the normal range. If the indicator turns bright yellow, this may indicate an unusually acidic vaginal environment.

    Normal Range (3.8-4.4) - image 1

    Normal Range (3.8-4.4)

    Vaginal pH levels in the range 3.8-4.4 are within the normal range.

    The color of indicator is yellow to green.

    High pH (>4.4) - image 1

    High pH (>4.4)

    A vaginal pH above 4.4 is higher than the normal range. If the indicator turns green to blue, this may indicate an elevated vaginal pH.
