1. Prepare
Fill out the sample tube with your
name, today’s date, and your date
of birth.
2. Collect Sample
Place the collection paper on top of
the water in the toilet. Try to
urinate before placing the collec-
tion paper, as urine can contami-
nate the sample.
3. Scrape stool sample
Deposit a stool sample onto the
collection paper.
4. Take the cap off
Take the cap off of the sample tube
and use the probe to scrape the
stool sample before the stool gets
wet.
5. Check then seal tightly
Collect enough stool to cover the
grooved end of the probe.
Do not cover the rest of the probe
with stool as this may contaminate
the sample.
6. Place the probe
Place the probe back into the sample
tube, ensuring that it closes tightly.
The collection paper is biodegradable
and can be flushed safely.
7. Return
Wrap the sample tube with the absorbent
pad and then place it in the biohazard bag.
Place the biohazard bag into the prepaid
mailer. Be sure to mail your sample as soon
as possible.
